Overview
The Assign Retailer Account tool enables you to allocate unassigned orders to your existing connections and transfer orders between them. Depending on your brand’s configuration, this tool may also allow you to assign orders to new connections.
Note: The ability to assign orders to new connections is permission-based and depends on your account’s integration settings.
How to Assign Orders to a New Connection
- Login to your JOOR Account
- Hover over “Orders”, then navigate to “Manage Orders”.
- Select the orders you wish to assign to a new connection.
- Once the order has been selected, click “Actions” at the bottom of the orders page.
- Click Assign Retailer Account in the dropdown.
- After selecting the “Assign Retailer Account” option, the Assign Retailer Account box will appear allowing you to search for a retailer account.
- Depending on the retailer’s account you search for, there’s a few different types of messages you may see.
No Results for Retailer Search
If you search for a retailer that isn’t listed in JOOR’s database—meaning they don’t currently have a JOOR account—you’ll receive a message indicating no results were found. The message will prompt you to try searching for a different retailer or to contact JOOR’s Support Team for assistance.
Note: As mentioned in the screenshot above, keep in mind that changing the retailer associated with an order may result in inaccurate discount information. Always verify the discounts in the order to ensure accuracy.
Retailer Search
Searching for a retailer that does have a JOOR account, you’ll see all the accounts with that name appear in the dropdown.
If multiple accounts appear in the dropdown during your search, you can hover over the “i” icon to view the address linked to each retailer’s account, ensuring you connect to the correct one.
Assigning Orders to retailers that you are already connected with
After confirming the correct account in the dropdown, If you are already connected to the retailer, you will see a prompt that you are already connected to the retailer.
At this point, you just select the retailer and then assign the order without any further action required from your end.
Assigning Orders to retailers that you are not connected with
After you search for a retailer, (see section above to learn how to search for retailers), You’ll see no indicators that you are connected to this account.
When you select a retailer that you are not connected to, you will be prompted to enter the retailer’s email address to proceed.
Note: The retailer contact’s email address must be listed as a user on their JOOR account
If you enter a valid email address in the contact's email address box and click the search icon, a message will confirm that the email is associated with the retailer's account, and you'll be automatically connected to the retailer to assign your order. To complete the connection and assign the order, just click "Assign."
If you enter an email address that isn't currently associated with the account and click the search icon, a message will appear stating that the connection will be established, and the email address you provided will be added as a contact.
Assigning Orders to a Pro Retailer Account
When you have an unassigned order for a Pro Retailer account on JOOR and use the “Assign Retailer Account” tool, the order will be automatically assigned if the Pro Retailer has auto-accept enabled. However, if auto-accept is disabled by the Pro-retailer, a connection request will be sent to the retailer, and your order will remain unassigned until they accept the request.
