Overview
Self-Serve permission settings make it easy for Pro Brand admins to set up user permission settings and allow users access to see their own settings. From this page, admins can set geographical regions, permit and restrict access to certain features, and manage each user’s settings. This enables users to see what they have access to, and why certain features aren’t available to them.
Viewing Permissions
- Log into your JOOR Account
- Hover over your ‘Settings/gear Icon’ and click on Permission Settings
- Once on the Permissions Settings page, you’ll be able to view your own permissions.
- To learn more about what a permission does you can hover over the permission for a tooltip.
The Permissions Settings page will be viewable for any user on the brand account, but only users with the permission Allow Edit Permissions will be able to make edits on this page.
View Only Access
Users who have 'view only' access to the Permissions Settings page will only see their permissions, they will not be able to see what permissions other users have set for their account. If a user does not have a certain permission, they will see a lock icon next to the permission.
If a user has a specific permission, they will see a checkmark next to the permission.
Edit Access
Users who have the permission Allow Edit Permissions will be able to make permission updates for each user listed on the account. These users will be able to see what permissions each user is currently setup with and can make edits at any time for these users. Users who can edit permissions will see a blank box if a permissions has not been selected, and they will see a check mark if the permissions has been selected.
Once you have selected the permissions for the user, you will need to click save at the bottom of the page to save your edits.
Select a User
To view / edit the permissions of a specific user on the brand account, there will be a box labeled Select User at the top of the page which will populate all the users listed on the account. Just select a user in the dropdown and the page will update with the permissions that user currently has set for them.
Users will also have the ability to copy the permissions of one user to another user on the account. The copy permissions will allow you to quickly set up the permissions for a user if you’d like them to have the same permissions as an existing user on your account.
Geographic Restrictions
In addition to setting up the individual permissions for users, you’ll be able to set up geographic restrictions for them. Geographic restrictions will allow you to restrict which retailers a user will be able to have access to.
If a sales representative only works within North America, you can use the geographic restrictions feature to make it so this sales representative can only see retailers within the region North America.
Once you have selected a specific region for a user, you’ll have the ability to decide whether the sales representative can see only the orders they placed with their region, or if they can see all orders placed by other sales representatives within their chosen region.
If ‘Show all orders in assigned region’ is checked off, the user will be able to see all orders placed within their region. If this box is not checked off, they’ll only see the orders they placed.
Once a user is set up to have geographic restrictions for a specific region, you will have the ability to override the restriction so the user can see a specific connection outside their set region by using the exception(s) to restrictions.
If you do not select a region for a user, they will be able to see all current connections to retailers and will be able to see all orders placed on the account.
Custom Regions
You’ll be able to create your own custom regions so you do not have to use the pre-listed regions. You’ll be able to choose the geographies categories you’d like, continent, country, or region. You can add as many geographies categories you’d like to any custom region.
How to Create a Custom Region
- Click Manage Regions
- Enter in the Region’s name and select which geography (continent, country, state/territory) you’d like for this region
- Once you select a geography type, use the box labeled Search for Region to select which continent, country, state/territory add for your custom region in the dropdown.
After adding all the regions you’d like for your custom region, click Add to save your new custom region.
Edit / Delete Custom Regions
After you create your custom region, you’ll have the ability to edit or delete the region from your account whenever you’d like. You’ll just need to click Manage Regions and then locate your custom region.
When you click Edit, you’ll be able to edit the name of your region and make modifications to the included regions. After you make your edits, click Save.
