Overview
Here’s a checklist with a few of our best practices and recommendations (with links to more information!) along with a few short webinar recordings so you can prepare for a successful market and trade-show season with JOOR!
Best practice is to begin the process of preparing for the market 2 weeks before your first market appointment to give time to make adjustments, assure accuracy & give retailers a buying experience they’ll love.
The steps to ensuring a successful market are:
- Refreshing and updating product data, linesheet and catalogs for the new season
- Prepping & uploading visual content to appeal to buyers with strong imagery
- Preparing your virtual showroom with creative content including images, videos, 360º and 3D imagery, text, and more to put your best foot forward and increase market appointments
- Utilise several JOOR tools to manage follow-up communication and track buyer engagement
See below for a detailed checklist.

- Customer Data
- Ensure you have downloaded the most recent JOOR PRO Customer Data Template and all mandatory (pink) fields in the template have been completed
- You've included states for the following countries: Australia, Canada, Japan, and the United States.
- Price type labels, sales reps, and payment & shipping methods match your account’s Order Settings.
- You have included only one email in the required "Email" column. (Additional buyers should be listed in the "Additional Emails" column and may be comma-separated).
- Customer data updates are indicated clearly by highlighting the fields and/or letting us know specifically what needs updating.
- If you need to add 1-5 connections urgently, please reach out to JOOR Product Support using the chat feature.
- Linesheets
- Ensure you have downloaded the most recent JOOR Pro Linesheet Template from our Help Center, and all mandatory (pink) fields in the template have been completed.
- Ensure price type labels match what you have set up in your Order Settings.
- Ensure each unique style has identical values in fields that are not part of your account's Style Identifier (or "key fields"). For example, if your identifier is style number, each style should have the same description, silhouette, wholesale price, etc.
- Ensure Style Tags & Badges have been created in your Style Settings prior to adding them to your linesheet template.
- Images
- To ensure smooth processing, please verify that image links are not password protected to avoid delays.
- Additionally, please adhere to JOOR's recommended image naming conventions:
- For basic images: style_number+color_name+order_nbr.jpg.
- For complex images (if applicable): style_nbr+fabrication+color_name+order_nbr.jpg
- For detailed instructions on adding your images, click here.
- Style Updates
- When updating styles, please follow these guidelines:
- Enter your changes into a JOOR linesheet export, which can be downloaded from your account.
- Do not remove any columns from the export.

Getting ready for market: The iPad App
Pre Market on the iPad (Video)
- Ensure you download/update the latest version of the JOOR for Brands app, identified by a black icon with white writing. Additionally, ensure your iPad has the latest iOS software installed, which is currently iOS 16.
- Before attending shows, ensure you sync all the linesheets needed for the day while connected to strong Wi-Fi.
- If necessary, create an event under your Order Settings to tag orders from a specific show as "[SHOW] [DATE]" for detailed sales reports.
During Market on the iPad (Video)
- Follow these steps to place orders on the app.
- PO's will automatically separate by linesheet on the iPad app. If you want to create one PO from multiple linesheets on the app you need to merge orders.
- Remember to sync all orders from the JOOR iPad app to the JOOR web at the end of each day with the help of the scanner.
