Dropbox
This guide assumes that the user has previously set up a Dropbox account. If an account needs to be created, please follow the steps here.
Creating a Folder
Within a user's Dropbox account, a new folder should be created for the upload. It is recommended to name the folder with the corresponding Linesheet name.
Uploading Images and/or Videos
Upload images or videos within the new folder, ensuring images/videos are named using the naming convention guidelines.
Creating a Dropbox Link
Images/videos can only be processed by JOOR if contained within a shared Dropbox folder. To create a shareable Dropbox link:
- Click the blue Share Folder button within your new folder
- Select Create a Link
- Select Copy Link
WeTransfer
WeTransfer is a freemium service, which means you don’t need to make an account in order to use it. You can both upload and send files as well as receive and download them without signing up. Simply open the WeTransfer site, upload your files, and copy the file-sharing link. You will have the option to send the files you uploaded as an email attachment or copy the link provided.
- Click Upload Files
- Select the images or videos you want to upload
- Add a title and description of the files (optional)
- Click Get a Link
- Select Copy Link
Note: when using WeTransfer it’s recommended to opt for the link rather than emailing the files.
Google Drive
If you have your images or videos saved to your Google Drive you can also generate a link to share with the Data Team. For steps on how to directly share files from your drive please visit the Google Drive Help Center.
