Overview
Before you or a retailer can place an order, a connection must be made. Connections are mutual relationships that make up the foundation of your orders. Brands and retailers can request to connect with each other through the Connections section of their JOOR sites. Either party can initiate a connection request, but the recipient must accept the request for the connection to be made.
Managing current connections
Current Connections are retailers you can readily place orders for on JOOR. Your current connections can view your available linesheets and place orders on their end as well.
Note: For Pro Brand users, if you need a connection made to complete an order, please reach out to Support via chat or email.
For orders with new clients created on the iPad, you will then need to assign those orders on the web. To check out how to assign an order to your retailer, please view the link here.
How to view your existing connections?
- Log into your JOOR web account
- Hover over ‘Connections’
- Click ‘Manage Connections’
Once there you can export all your existing connections’ data, send messages, notify JOOR if a location has closed, remove the connection, or click on the name of a retailer to access their Customer Specific Data.
Prospecting/Finding new retailers on JOOR
If you’re looking to find new retailers you might be interested in doing business with, you can do your prospecting right from your account.
- Hover over Connections and select Find New Retailers
- We've updated the appearance and improved the functionality of your ‘Find New Retailers’ page. Utilize the advanced search options to find retailers by their ‘Location’, ‘Brands carried’, ‘Wholesale price range’, ‘Categories’, and 'Retailer ID' filters. Learn more about the changes we have made in this product release article.
- Keyword Search - Users will now be allowed you to find retailers by their name or their Retailer ID. In order to make the Find New Retailers page better represent its name and goal, we’ve added the ability to search by keywords.
- Retail profile completeness and recency of profile update will now be considered in ranking filter and search results.
- Results Sorting - reduce the amount of inefficient digging through results with additional criteria to sort better quality profiles.
- Retailer results will now consider the following in addition to alphabetical order:
- Relevance to search terms (if the search function was used)
- Completeness of the retailer’s profile
- How recently the profile was updated
- With the new layout of the profile page has been enhanced to allow for a larger and more prominent image, “About Us”, and website URL.
- Additionally, it is easier to see now when a Retailer has not filled out their profile yet with an empty state profile page. Read this release notes article to learn more about retailer profile information.
- Once you click CONNECT a connection request will be sent to the retailer.
- You will be able to review all your current pending connections by hovering over Connections and selecting Pending Connections.
- If you need to place an order for a retailer but they have not yet responded to your request, or if they do not currently have a JOOR account, you can reach out to JOOR Support via live chat by clicking the Chat icon on the bottom-right side of the page for further assistance.
Managing your new connection requests
Any connection request sent to you by a retailer can be viewed on the Connection Requests page. Simply hover over Connections and select Connection Requests. You can also choose “Not Now”, if you don’t want to accept the connection request.
Adding new connections for Integrated Brands
If your JOOR account is integrated into a backend system for Customer data, you’ll need to add the connection’s information to your ERP backend system first and not on JOOR.

If you need to be force connected to a retailer and need to place an order right away for them, you must provide the customer code from your integration to our Support team when chatting in.
Quick Connect
Quick Connect will go live the same day as your virtual event, and can be found under your connections tab. Once the show is live, this tool updates regularly with a list of retailers that have registered for or attended an event on Passport.
- Hover over the connections menu on your navigation bar
- Click Quick Connect
This tool pre-populates all participating retailers so you can pre-approve any connection requests, in bulk, that they may have sent you or could send throughout the duration of the virtual event.
- A window will pop on the screen and pre-populate with participating retailers.
- Select retailers in bulk by using the checkbox next to Company.
- Or select retailers one-by-one using the checkboxes next to each individual retailer
- Please note, some retailers may participate in shows that are not on this list. It is important to still keep track of your connection requests on your Snapshot landing page for any other pending requests that come through during the event.
Profile Dashboard
With the ‘Profile Dashboard’, you will now have the ability to see exactly which retailers have viewed and favorited your JOOR profile providing you with the insights to maximize leads. The ‘Profile Dashboard’ will provide you with views from both connected and unconnected retailers, locations, brands stocked, and more!
